We need:

1 cup of round grain rice.

1 cup of water.

1 teaspoon of salt.

1 tsp butter.

Procedure:

This recipe is a mug, so you don’t need a scale.

It only takes a 250 ml mug , which is enough for about 2 – 3 persons.

Pour 1 cup of rice into a sieve..

We will also use the same mug as a measuring cup for water , which we can boil in a kettle.

Rinse the rice under warm running water..

We mix it thoroughly by hand so that it is rinsed really well.

You can tell if your rice has been washed well by the fact that the water no longer has a milky color but is clear through the strainer. .

Prepare a pot with a thicker bottom and pour boiling water from the kettle into it. .

Salt it with a teaspoon of salt, add a teaspoon of butter.

Now all you have to do is cover the rice with a lid, reduce the heat to a minimum.

We cook it like this for exactly 16 minutes. .

During cooking, we do not manipulate the rice in any way, we do not stir or uncover it. .
