The recipe for the famous NORWEGIAN cake that conquered the whole world!

A perfect buttery dessert with a layer of snow, almond sprinkles and mascarpone filling.

It’s definitely one of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted.

A luxurious recipe for a unique Norwegian cake from the YouTube channel LiViera Desserts.

We need:

For butter dough:.

100 g room temperature butter.

100 g of powdered sugar.

4 egg yolks.

60 ml of lukewarm milk.

150 g semi-coarse flour.

10 g of baking soda.

On the snow:.

4 egg whites.

200 g of fine granulated sugar.

juice of 1/2 lemon.

60 g of roasted almonds.

On the stuffing:.

250 ml of whipping cream.

90 g of powdered sugar.

300 g of mascarpone.

Procedure:

Chopped almonds fry until golden in a dry pan.

Separate the whites and yolks from the eggs into two bowls. Into a deep bowl add butter and sugar.Beat with a mixer.

While whisking, we gradually add the egg yolks one by one.

Pour lukewarm milk and whip a smooth mixture..

Sift into the mixture flour and baking soda.

mix well with a whisk so that there are no lumps in the dough.

Lightly coat the baking sheet with oil and line it with baking paper..

put the dough on the baking sheet and spread it evenly.

Squeeze the juice from the lemon and strain through a sieve into a small bowl.

Beat the egg whites separately. While whisking, gradually add sugar.

Beat the egg whites at medium speed so that the sugar has time to dissolve.

Finally while whisking we add lemon juice.

The entire whipping takes 7-8 minutes..

Put the snow on the dough, spread it evenly and make peaks with a spoon (see video).

Sprinkle almonds on top and place in a preheated oven.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until pink at a temperature of 170°C..

In the meantime, prepare the cream: cool the bowl and ingredients in the refrigerator to 4°C.

Pour the cream into a deep bowl and beat for a while at medium speed..

When the whisk leaves a mark , add sugar and beat until stiff.

Finally, add mascarpone and whip a thick cream. Place the cream in a pastry bag with a decorative tip.

Remove the baked cake from the baking sheet and remove the paper..

The cake cut into two equal halves and put the filling on one part.

Place the second part of the dough on top of the filling.
