Hello, I would also like to share my method how I clean the washing machine.Everyone has their own procedure, but this one has not disappointed me yet.
I did it this way for years and taught my daughter and daughter-in-law the same way.
We have never had any serious problem with the washing machine.If it helps someone, I will only be glad.
The best way to clean your washing machine
I recommend that you repeat this procedure once every six months.
It works better than using vinegar alone and the effects are longer lasting.
Although it takes some time, you don’t have to do anything the washing machine cleans itself – just turn it on..
We need:
1 kg of crystalline soda (you can buy it at a drugstore or an agricultural store).
4 liters of water.
1 liter of ordinary vinegar.
Procedure:
Pour 4 liters of water and add crystalline soda mixed in boiling water directly into the drum of the washing machine.
We close the drum and set the longest program at the highest temperature without prewash.
When the washing machine has finished, add vinegar (pour it into the powder compartment) and repeat the same program.
Baking soda dissolves dirt, hair and pieces of fabric and dissolves scale.
Vinegar disinfects the washing machine, destroys mold germs and removes the smell that can start to spread in the washing machine over time.
Vinegar also dissolves the magnesium and calcium salts that make up common detergents.
More tips
Rubber seal
Do not use aggressive bathroom cleaners on it, which reliably peel the rubber.
Vinegar works great – you can soak a rag with vinegar and put inside the seals , leave it on and then just wash it off.
If you want to clean the drum manually
Use a solution of baking soda and citric acid for this.
This mixture dissolves scale on first contact.
If you have hard water
Once in a while pour a packet of citric acid into the detergent dispenser and set the longest program at the highest temperature without prewashing.
Detergent dispenser like new
It is enough if you simply soak it in a solution of vinegar and baking soda (be careful the mixture will foam).
Leave the dispenser soaked for 30 minutes, or even a few hours.It will be like new.
Filter
You also don’t have to scrub it.Just take it out and soak it in a solution of water and baking soda.
Wipe the inside of the filter with a cloth soaked in vinegar or a solution of soda and water.
This kills bacteria and germs
Against bacteria, viruses and mold.
Tea tree oil has the strongest anti-fungal effects of all natural substances, imagine that vinegar does not even come close to half its anti-fungal effects..
All you really need is a little:
I put 5 drops in the liquid detergent and I have peace of mind.
You might think that doing laundry this way will cost you money, but it’s not like that.
If, like me, you buy a small bottle with a volume of 120 ml – you have 2400 drops in it, which will last you for 480 washes .
One bottle lasted me two years.:-).
And I don’t only use it for washing, but also against mosquitoes and ticks in the summer.

Against the smell from the washing machine
Washing machines should be regularly disinfected so that they work properly and do not smell.
Special cleaning products are available for this purpose, but you can also use ordinary mouthwash.
Place half a glass of water, pour where you put the detergent and then start the program.
All fungi, mold and bacteria will die.
Ordinary baking powder will do a very good job when cleaning the washing machine: pour one packet into the washing powder container and start the washing cycle.
