Famous Tyrolean Plum Cake: Simple, fluffy and freaking good!

During the plum season, it comes in handy to prepare something delicious, so here we have a great tip for you soft cake.

We need:

350 g plain flour.

140 g of butter.

120 g of granulated sugar.

1/2 package of baking powder.

5 eggs.

2 packages of vanilla sugar.

a pinch of salt.

For plums:.

800 g of plums.

4 tablespoons of granulated sugar.

2 packages of vanilla sugar.

Procedure:

Line the cake in a form (28 cm) with paper and brush the edges with butter.

In a small bowl, mix sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.

In a separate bowl we mix flour with baking powder..

Add the softened butter to a deep bowl and beat it into creams with a mixer and add the sugar mixture.

One by one beat the eggs..

Into the mixture we gradually sift the flour and mix with a whisk.

Pour half of the batter into the mold and level it.

Place the mold in an oven preheated to 190°C (top/bottom heating).

Bake for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, pit the plums, cut into quarters and add to the bowl.

Mix granulated sugar and vanilla sugar in a small bowl.

Gradually pour the sugar into the bowl with the plums and mix.

Plums are piled on the baked dough in a mold.

We apply the rest of the dough on top and level it evenly.

Place the cake in the oven and bake 40 minutes at a temperature of 190°C.

After the time has passed, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool.

Remove the cooled cake from the mold, sprinkle with sugar and serve.
